Aderlass (originally Aderlasse Katholiken) was created by a German teenager living in Poland.
Gretel Nachtnebel was a 13-14 year-old German girl living in an oppressive
religious household who was involved with the underground death and black metal scene.
Young Gretel would go on to start a solo project and make music of her own in December of 1999.
Gretel, while still releasing music was caught by her mother recording in their shed, upon discovering the demonic material, it was destroyed, making 5 releases lost.
Despite
her life being hectic, she continued to record and release some of her work to small groups of people but would take a 4 year after from hiding from authorities due to a myriad of actions she was wanted for.
Following the events of Gretel running away to multiple different countries and her eventual homelessness, would come to meet a man named Jürgen Reiter, a man who would occasionally help out with publishing her releases along with giving her free housing.
Gretel would encounter several people who would help with her with releases or the rare live preformances, which were terrible.
